Whimsical Tulips

Welcome to Week 5 of The Blooms

Tulips have always been one of my favourite flowers, mainly for their simplicity and elegance, especially when arranged on their own. You can guarantee a beautiful looking arrangement with very little work. What I learned quickly though is that tulips continue to grow once they have been cut and not necessarily in the direction you expected! Here lies my inspiration for this weeks arrangement. I wanted to arrange these local greenhouse grown tulips with foliage and branches that shared a more changeable and rebellious apperance. Again I turned to my garden to find branches of * that had just started budding, branches of catkins from a hazel tree, ivy, euonymus, box tree, and sarcococca also know as sweet box.
